What a weekend. I had the most fun in a long time.

Friday I left work a few minutes early to get home in time to see the 5:40 matinee showing of Dodgeball, which almost didn't work out because of 2 accidents down Southfield. But we still made it with about 5 minutes to spare before the previews started.

It was one of the funniest movies I've seen this year because it was just so random. I don't want to give anything away, but if you are reading this and you haven't seen the movie...well that's your fault. After the movie, me, Chris, and Jish went and picked up some High Life and a couple $5 larges from Little Ceaser and went and chilled by the water.

If you notice on the right of the picture is the crane/harness that brings down the jetski into the water. Chris tied a rope into a hole at the end and was swinging around in circles over the water. We finally talked Jish into doing it once, and he didn't quite make it all the way. In fact, once he got over the water he fell right in. Smart Jish didn't empty his pockets first, so his phone and wallet got a little wet, and we laughed about it for the rest of the day pretty much.

Later in the evening we checked out the St. Joe's festival. On our way there I found out my Cousin Jimmy lives right across the street from Chris now. Then we ran into lil buddy walking around the festival and then just headed back and watched Aliens. Everyone got tired cause we were drinking all day so we all just kinda passed out.

Saturday morning I woke up and went to my computer and started talking to Jish. We decided to go to GameStop and check out how much Gamecube's cost, because we were thinking of buying one. I forgot to turn onto Fort St. to go to the Riverview one so we just headed out to the mall instead. We stopped into EB games and walked over to the section, and the guy behind the counter popped out and was like "looking to buy a Gamecube?" We were just like uh, maybe... Then we said we'd be back in a few. He was like "You're not going to Gamestop are you? I'll give you a free T-shirt if you don't go" So we told him we were going to the food court. We eventually came back and told him we were both looking to buy the system, so he threw in a bunch of other free shit. Eventually we got persuaded and we both owned our own Nintendo Gamecube. The funny thing is, the reasoning at the time to buy 2 was so that we have 2 controllers when we go back home and play.

We only got to play for about 15 minutes, and it was sooo fun. I haven't really played any system farther advanced then the N64, so the graphics blew me away at first. We only had so much time because Squeak's graduation party was at 4, and we got home at about 3:30. So we headed over to Squeak's house and ate, played some cards, and some BASEketball in the driveway. After a few hours, all we wanted to do was play more Gamecube, so we went to Chris's to grab the rest of the beer, went and got some Custard at Bob Joe's and then sat down and played till about 2 am.

Sunday I headed over to Canada for Father's day, and then did some cleaning when I got back last night. Nothing too exciting. I'm ready for next weekend to come now. I foresee a lot of Mario Kart: Double Dash!! in the near future and probably some other games. There is a Megaman anniversary game coming out on Wednesday, that has the original 1-10 from the series from both NES and SNES platforms. I'll be getting that as soon as I can get the cash together. Now I don't have to try and get my NES working all the time, especially since they are redoing all the classic games. That's it for now.
