One of the most common questions I get asked is "Why ?"

I have to easily be in triple digits of hearing this question. From the people I meet online, to family members, friends, and even people that have interviewed me.

I say, why not .

It's no secret that I used to listen to ICP quite heavily. But that's not the reason behind the name. It's the pop in general. I have had my screen name since about 8th grade. Back then, there were groups of us that would always hang out and just play Nintendo (or whatever system was popular at the time). Everyday we would go up to Discount Drinks (then called the pop shoppe, and also was a block closer) and we would stock up on something to drink. And honestly, is the shit. You used to get a 2 liter for 69 cents plus deposit. That was as much as a 20 ounce of Pepsi or Coke cost at the time. It just seemed like the right decision. And there are so many flavors, you can't go wrong.

It probably has a lot to do with growing up 10 minutes from the factory. Everywhere around here is stocked with at least 2-3 shelves in the cooler of flavors. Being the cheap bastard I have always been, I never drank anything else. And it is just that much better, even without considering the cost.

is actually a really uncommon name online too, so it has always worked out perfectly. When I join games I am always asked the same questions:

", like the pop!?!?" or " ICP ICP ICP JUGGALO?!?"

What's funny is a lot of the guys I game with live pretty far from the Detroit area. As some of you know, isn't as widely distributed around the country as it is in Metro Detroit. I remember linking Omar to the webpage and just saying "WHAT THE FUCK THIS SHIT IS REAL?"

Yes, it is.

It was about 3 months later that him and Ali found some at Sam's Club and purchased it. I was talking to Ali online when he had his first sip of freedom, and he was defiantly quite impressed. I was actually supposed to bring some down with me when I visited, but there was 7 of us cramped into a van. There was barely room to stretch out, much less stock the car with 12-packs of glory.

There was one point in time that I tried dropping the tag and switching to something new. That didn't work out to well. Once you know so many people for so long, they will all continue to call you by how they know you originally. After about 2 weeks I went back to and will probably stick with it for the rest of my days.

In short: (pop) > Pepsi, (pop) > Coke, and (me) > you.

Look at these and tell me you don't get a fever for the flava:
