Counter-Strike

I started playing Counter-Strike in May 2003 in CS 1.5. The only reason I started playing was because I fell into a ton of free time once school ended last year, and it was the game that everyone was playing. Needless to say, I was horrrible compared to everyone else, since they already had 1-3 years experience playing. I caught on pretty quick though. After 1 month of being horrible, I started scrimming with TheZealots CS team. We would play for about 5-6 hours every night. Needless to say we all became pretty decent and decided to join a league.

We signed up for CAL-Open season 9, and started off our CS "careers" as Zealous. It was really different to play in Matches, where there is actually something on the line. I was pretty nervous through most of the matches in the first season, especially rounds where I was the only one left. We made some mid-season roster changes, and finished the season 4-4. It wasn't too bad for our first time together.

Cal-O season 10 came a few months after the end of season 9. We decided to change the name from Zealous to Failure, because there was a prior team named Zealous, and we got sick of people asking if we were them. We ended season 9 5-3. It was an improvement. We lost 2 matches on maps we never really practiced, and then lost one to a team that was caught cheating in the playoffs. With that considerd, we could have done a lot better.
We are now entering our 3rd season together, continuing as Failure. We are looking forward to making the playoffs and moving up to the Intermediate league at the end of this season. Only time will tell though.
